The catalog contains a comprehensive inventory of the castle library of the Lubomirski estate at Lancut. The approximately 800 books listed on literature, philosophy, science, law, and history reflect the predominantly French culture of the period in Poland. The library also appears to have been rich in works on Polish history published in Poland and in military manuals and related theoretical works, which are indicative of the number of military figures in the Lubomirski family
